Across the pond I think it generally accepted we say four double oh three - I'm sure I'll be in the minority on this poll!

I think it depends on where you come from. It's four thousand AND three for me, being British. Four oh oh three just doesn't trip off the tongue easily for me, due to the lack of consonant sounds in the middle two numbers.

I say 4 Thousand 3, and yes, I do pronounce the name wrong.

I have both 4001 and 4003 and I always refer to them as my "one" and my "three"
