Rickenbacker McGuinn control knobs

Anybody know where I can purchase Rickenbacker standard control knobs (not the vintage), but without the "BASS", TREBLE", "VOLUME", and "TONE" markings that are printed in black on top of the aluminum cap? These knobs need to have the dot markers on the top and on the skirt like the Rickenbacker knobs shown in RIC's boutique section under "knobs".

The knobs I'm looking for are the same ones used on the McGuinn signature RIC.

Thanks,

Robert

Welcome, Robert!

IIRC, there is a way to remove the printing from the knobs, I think it is just silkscreened onto them.

The Forum Technical Support is literal that, tech support for the forum, itself; post this in the Vibrola section and you will find more folks that can answer your question.

Just buy the amount you need, regardless of what is screened on the top, and just wipe it off with a little acetone.

FWIW, that type of knob was used on the TR series amps.

Radio Shack stocks this knob, but with a white stripe instead of a dot.

Part # 274 416

4 for $3.49

Hi Paul,

I've looked all over the internet and I have yet to see the standard Rickenbacker style knobs with the dot markers on the top and the skirt- plenty of examples with the white stripe though, and that's the issue here. I'd love to know what company manufactures these for RIC. Maybe RIC custom orders them. It's all in the details! :)

Thanks,

Robert
