basslines into the collective consciousness

Can you give us your opinion on an amazing bass line that qualifies as a household hum....basically something that is so etched in, that some one without perfect pitch could probably hum it in key.
You catch my drift 8)

like for example:

"Is she really going out with him" Graham Mabe/Joe Jackson

john-i see what you mean,the bass part just doubles the guitar line on those 2 examples.

hmm-off the top of my head..Yes's "i'm running", in which the Chris Squire's bass line intros the song. (and is subsequently doubled on guitar). not quite as simple a bassline as the others mentioned here,but definitely one that sticks in your brain.
