Has someone tried that product on their Rickenbacker ?
It seems to work fine in their pictures and video and is guaranteed silicon-free.
I'm tempted to use a product like that (or scratch-X) to remove some scratches, but my 330 has some finish checking that have a bit evolved during the past years.
So i'm afraid to use anything on the finish fearing that the product might cause trouble inside the checkings, and mess up the finish even worse.

What would you do in this case ?

More, it's said in their Faq that you can't use it on "certain " rickenbacker models, i wonder what that means.

I've used Meguairs scratch X on a black Clapton strat (poly I guess?) with excellent results. Although, and maybe it is just my imagination, it seemed that after I polished the strat it seemed to scratch more easily?

Personally though, I'd be very nervous around any checking. I am not sure if the product would get into the finish cracks, dry, and then look awful. Or worse, change the checking into tiny chipping.

Scratch-X and similar products remove faint scratches and swirls. They also remove any wax that may be on the instrument, and do not do anything to protect the surface again. That's why your black Fender scratches more easily. You must wax it following the Scratch-X, and that's where Zymol comes in.

Eterna-Shine (stupid name) may not contain silicones, but I'll bet that it does contain some sort of polymer. I'd avoid it until you check the MSDS. I can't find that online, soo...

I think i will just keep on cleaning my 330 using my breathe and Rick cloth.
Anyway, dings scratches and finish checkings are parts of my life now.
My 330 is just growing old like me.
