I was looking at the distribution on the Ric site and its saying that the 370s have been shipped to the UK Rosetti is that correct? I thought they were being put on hold for a while.Any info on this?
saying that the UK recently got a Jg and 2 MIds.

What was the story behind dropping the 340 6/12s and the 370/6 a few years back .Was it to do with the sales on these models cause surely a matter of adding another pickup in the factory isnt that much more laborious.Just interested in the gossip.

SA are advertising new 370's.
Have a look at the slash holes on them. Have they changed shape or is it just the pictures?

The 340 and 370 were discontinued to help reduce the backlog in production. The VB option (335,345, etc.) was discontinued for the same reason. I love the look of three pickups but found it a bit of a challenge to play comfortably.

The 370's being advertised in the UK are all 2011 models, so unless the umpa lumpas broke into the factory and knocked out a few guitars, then it would appear that they are back in production.

Yes, as is too often the case, a ridiculous price from a UK dealer.
The RRP on the Mid Blue 370/12 is listed at £1679, and SA are selling for £2200.

Wow yeah i was just looking them £2200 is a lot of money for an extra pick up.Seems a bit crazy as i could pick up a vintage Rickenbacker for roughly the same price.

They work at Gibson USA, so unlikely they did it

Hi, the 370/12 is indeed discontinued. These are ones we had on order and Rickenbacker are still fulfilling back orders, but they will be the last. I think I spotted an Umpa lumpa in the Rick factory video though - he was inspecting the inside of the sound holes....all is good with the slash - I'm just a rubbish photographer :D
