Hey congrats, Sepp! Thanks, but I got great shots of that one from Richard Cannata at RIC! Richard has been very helpful getting me pictures of nearly all the specials they've produced in the last few years.

I'm thinking when the weather breaks a little, maybe a BBQ, a few beers, and a bunch of Rickenbacker's. All at my house! I'm serious, sounds like a good time right??

Yup, I put the bid in early and was on pins and needles the whole time. i was surprised no one threw a few bids at it early. The one near the end brought the price up a bit but I had a secure bid on it from the start.

I'm looking forward to receiving it since so many have said what a great bass the 4004's are. I've never played one and I'm curious to hear how the ebony neck influences the sound.

Congrats Sepp. That bass is a beauty. I am glad it found a great home.

In transit due to arrive on Tuesday. A day before my "business" trip. Don't worry, I'll be very acquainted with her by the time I leave the next day!! Mr Fex Ex man better take take extra special care of her on her trip east.

By the time I return, my wife should have calmed down dramatically. Good timing huh? Planning a trip a day after a big purchase arrives! I mean, she's gunna know, it's not like another Jetglo Rickenbacker to be confused with. This ones going to stand out a bit.
