Okay. May be in over my head on this one, but I gave it a shot. Enjoy and be constructive please.

Nice!
I'm not even a YES fan, and that totally ruled. Never seen that chicken pickin lead done isolated like that, very cool.
I take it that's your '68, what kind of neck pickup is that?

Thanks man! That is a GFS NYII. Haven't quite got the mounting perfect yet but it is a GREAT sounding pickup, has a flat bottom, and only cost $40! I wasn't happy with the c58 toaster I had there previously so I took a shot on one of these and I'm glad I did. I think the white looks cool too...reminds me of a "Mickey Mouse" pickup:

Another great one, JB! You can really hear the Chet Atkins influence in Steve's playing (and yours) in that song.

You do have a Chet Atkins influence, right?

Thanks Jeff. I do love Chet but I can't touch what he does. If you mean the pick/fingers thing, that's just taken from some country players, Brent Mason, Vince Gill, etc. I don't think Steve does that on this solo but it sure sounds right to me!

LOL, thanks Billy. Hair's gone now - I have a greased-up coif. Not even joking.

Excellent---sounds great and you can't argue with that kinda price, especially since it's a drop-in replacement pup. Serious twang to rival a Tele..

Yep, and the Keeley certainly doesn't hurt either!
Out of the box, the GFS pickup needed two things to make it Rick-ready:
- It only had the four corner screws, so it needed the two mounting holes drilled.
- No baseplate to keep the bobbin in the bezel. This I haven't gotten yet but it stays put well enough.
I would highly recommend it and I am thinking about trying one in the bridge position too.

Kewl! 68's rule! Love the old FG.
Nice job, man! Totally impressed with the sound and the playing. Howe is an odd cat to figure out.
