Hey! Just found this great video of Etta James. There is a guy in her backing band playing what I think is a 58' Capris. He really brings out what a Rickenbacker should sound like!

Does anyone know who this is?

It's Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown on a 1966 Texas R&B TV show called "The Beat". He was part of the house band...do a youtube search for "Clarence Gatemouth Brown The Beat" and you will see he make that Rick Capri shine!!

The Capri in question was for sale in Europe a few years ago IIRC. Should be a thread here somewhere....

I don't think so. I believe it was Hubert Sumlin's Capri that was for sale. Had a huge amount of wear on the top. Very cool.
