I just picked up a '79 4000 in Jetglo! I just added it to the register and I will be taking some pics today!

Excellent! I have a Rick 4000 made in 1974 in Burgundyglo it is hands down one my best basses ever!

I think that same bass sold in Vancouver about a year before... I remember the ad as the seller also had a 60s Vox Teardrop guitar for sale as well... There was no SN in the ad so maybe not...

congrats,that is really nice! I've had my '74 4000 for around a decade i guess. It has a unique tone loaded with either flat-or round wound strings,and plays like buttah.
