Zachary Supernatural Touch Tone Optimizer pedal

Yeah, crazy name eh? 
Ok, first off, I've never seen one, less heard one, and would love to hear from someone that actually has one or has spent some time with one. I can't find out any information online-other than the fact he no longer makes them because his partner died from cancer and he's looking for someone new to make them mor something.
I stumbled upon this pedal in an attempt to find out more about the Klon pedal, because with the cheaper reissues coming out, at least I will be able to try one out in a store and decide for myself if it is worth all of the hype. Well, apparantly the folks that make this other pedal have a serious axe to grind about the tone and success of the Klon, but you can easily find that out yourself and I won't be breaking any rules here.
The only information I can find online about it are the nonstop posts of how offended some people are at the advertising and discussion of the pedal by it's makers. I have yet to find a single review on the sound or performance of this pedal, just nonstop slagging of the outfit that makes them.
It makes me wonder 2 things, was the pedal a hoax, and if it wasn't, were the folks who made it wrong in ways other than how they have presented it? Seems to be a bit of a myswtery here.
