I saw the Eagles, Steve Miller, and Eddie Money in Cincinnati back in the '70's. The stage had the same backdrop, could have been the very same tour.

Yesterday I got the new DVD box "History Of The Eagles". with a concert from '77 included. Fantastic! Randy and his Mapleglow Rickenbacker bass.
A pity that Don Felder isn't with them any longer.

Old thread, but what does this comment have anything to do with Meisner and his use of a Ric?
First, He's not the best voice in the Eagles, unless you think singing high harmony is the peak of vocal excellence.
On the other side, I think his musicianship is at the highest level in the band. At least as good as Felder and Walsh. Love his melodic lines and incredible technique on the bass.
He really works the best that a Ric bass can offer. Right there with McCartney IMO
