Looking for a pair of transitional high gains for a Light Show restoration.
Anyone have a pair or advice on where to buy?

Thanks,
Russ

You should post this in the Wanted section.

Used from like '69 till '72, '73, originally for the 381...they look like hi-gains but have smaller polepieces (actually exposed screws, chopped down).

These are on my 480. They are sick pickups!

I have them on 2 of my guitars ('71 331 and '73 620). Great pick-ups!

Unfortunately Russ, they're on the guitars and not available. I wish you the best of luck in your search.

Here's a picture from my '71 lightshow to help show what they look like..

Please excuse the brevity of the prior message (iPhone).

The easiest way is to look at the polepieces on the pickup. If they look like small round buttons with or without a hex head, they are later hi gains. If they look like small threaded screw tips protruding from the surface, they're transitional hi gains.
