Here's a new one, featuring the '68 4001 as always:
'EULOGY'

You've got some really nice stuff going on in this song. The composition itself is a bit like a roller coaster; up the lift hill chain, nice and easy, and then --- the 'hang on' ride down the big hill as the momentum builds. You did a great job with the production, too. Very impressive work. Tom

Again Mark, I love the tone of that bass, not to mention your playing. Really liked the song. Mark

Thanks again, guys! All my fretted Ricks sound similar, but the '68 definitely has the warmest tone. It's my go-to for most recordings. Just a side-note: the bassline during the last verse is a paraphrase of the vocal melody that precedes it.
"And so they say..."
"bumm bumm bumm bumm..."

that was a really cool composition, there,Mark! and the bass sounded great, too,of course. i do like the bass line echoing the vocal line from earlier in the song.

Thanks Woodsey! The tune is a bit more "ballady" than my usual fare, but it's been kicking around in my head for years, so I figured I'd get it out of my system. How's life over there in Brookings? Isn't that desert country? It's been awhile since I've been out Oregon way. I used to live in Portland.
