Have you seen these new videos that have recently been upped on youtube? It's a series called "How Does It Sound." The guy takes various guitars and puts them through different genres of music using the guitar's different pickup configurations. He gives us clean, blues, funk, jazz, and metal on each guitar. Fantastic series. Here's three from his Rickenbacker 330 set:

His other videos are great too. It's very interesting to hear the same thing played the same way, by the same guy on different instruments...

Nice clips! Just goes to show that (as I said in another thread) Rickenbackers are not one trick ponies, but can be used for anything and everything stylistically.
