Protecting my Markbass Head

I have a Little Mark II head. Right now it's in a 4 space rack case but, I'd like something more compact and shallow.

Any recommendations for the lightest weight, toughest quality and least expensive?

I know of a shallow SKB case that would work. They are about $90, a bit more than I'd like to spend

Pearson makes a tough as nails looking case for $60 but, it looks REALLY heavy.

$60 seems fine but, I don't wanna get a hernia lifting a Little Mark bass head. That'd be embarrassing

I use one of those shallow SKB cases. Before I was gigging a lot, I kept it in a laptop bag or an old, small suitcase.

I picked up a surprisingly decent, aluminum-clad case a couple weeks ago at Home Depot for about $20. This one is 18"x13"x6" and probably bigger than you need, but I do remember that they had some other sizes. Might be worth checking out, and the price is right.

I have been using the Markbass gigbag for a few years. No complaints. Have probably done 150 gigs since then and the head still works, so I guess it's doing its job. :D

In that case  the SKB shallow FX case will probably be your best choice. Make sure it is deep enough!

Too bad. Just sold a shallow SKB before Christmas for $40. If you look around I'm sure you can find a decent one used in your price range. Plus you want take a hit if you decide to flip it later.

The shallow SKB case should work. 10.5" deep with the covers off. Amp is 9" deep.

There's a couple of them on CL for $60 but, I offered them $40.

Let's see :-)

Here's what my Markbass head is is now. I might buy the Markbass bag to put it in. Being that it can be used while in the bag, anything to make set up and breakdown at a gig faster is a plus!
