C64.......perhaps my dumbest question ever!

I know this is just silly but I am contemplating making a move on the MID C64 in the classified section. I am not a fan of the reverse headstock but after pondering what bugs me about it I've come to the conclusion that it's the TRC that doesn't work for me......the flipped cresting wave I can happily live with. So here comes the doozy.......anyone know if a "normal" down firing TRC will clear the tuning pegs? I never even thought of it before but one of the pics for the eBay auction has a close up of the headstock and it looks like it may clear.

Funny, I had never thought of doing that! Personally, I am not fond of the reverse headstock, but maybe it is the TRC?? If this works out for you, please post some picks!!

Actually after studying that pic again I'm not so sure it will clear BUT perhaps a slightly modified TRC would do the trick. Maybe a slightly smaller non-vintage style. I'll have to take out my TRC collection and use my LK to test fit tomorrow. Hmmmmmm.......

It appears that if you swap it the one screw hole in the wood would remain exposed.

It fits between the tuners no problem. However, the hole for the tip of the TRC would be exposed (so good thing it is a MID).

This is the pic from the above link......me likey!
Thanks for the info on the exposed screw hole I wasn't sure if it would cover or not. I guess I'll have to factor in a professional touch-up then. Hmmmmm......L
