Looking for info on Julie Grant

Post by beatbyrd »

Hi, back in the 70's I worked with a singer named Julie Grant, who was originally from England. She had some hits there in the early/mid '60s. I have read all I can find on the internet and her CD liner notes. I'm looking for more 'local' info from those UK folks that might remember her. I know that she turned down recording 'Downtown', a move that surely cost her a chance at international stardom. Can anyone offer any more info? Thanks. Tom

Ton, I searched Google on "julie grant british singer" and these hits were at the top:

Not sure if that's her ... or if those help! :) (the latter suggests another route to search ...)

Thanks guys. The last time few times I've done searches, there was very little info that I found. These links were very informative in confirming and clarifying things that Julie told me, as well as providing some new data. Thanks. Tom

Good find.... Thanks again, Gary. Here are a couple of shots of Julie (and friends) from the mid-70's. These have an un-altered Rick 4001 in use. :x
