me at 17 in 1987 with my 1976 4001.....
at 42 in 2012 with my 2011 4003.
AND! If you look really closely.....you will notice......SAME STRAP! LOL

Soon as I saw that first photo with the WHT I guessed '1986'...wasn't too far off!

Same age here but I don't have any of myself playing at 17-18. I don't think I picked up my first Rick until 20 or 21.
Heck, I don't have many pics of myself at either age, now that I think of it.

Thanks Koji, this bass really rocks. I have several great basses now but the Ric really is my favorite. I love the tone and there is so much more bottom than I ever remember from my other Rics I have had in the past.

July 31, 1981 with my first brand new 4001, presented to me during the gig, at Characters in New Rochelle, NY. My plan was to finish paying for it and pick it up the very next day, but my family and girlfriend at the time had their own surprise plan.
Here jamming next to Dan Saifer at the latest mini-jam with my newest Rick, the 4004Cii Ruby. I'm trying out the "Dan Stance".
After a strap is several years old, retire, it! It can at any time suddenly tear or snap, possibly making your precious guitar smash to the floor.
