Kog.

From origin it is not a Dutch, but a German name as far as I know. The amp maker is Dutch though.

Thanks Bert. I would never have come up with Kog. What do you think of these amplifiers.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Yes, thanks, Bert. 8) I have always read great things about this amp maker, and a friend and I briefly tried one of their small combo amps recently. Pricy here in the US but an amp brand I would consider if they made a bass amp.

No idea how the amp maker prefers their name to be said, but I've collected a number of sculptures by an artist with the same surname. He says it quite clearly as "Cook".

I've interviewed with a company of this name and known a couple of people with this name. Pronuciations have included:

"Kotch"
"Coke"
"Cook" (as in Jim Koch, founder and brewer of Sam Adams)

I'll have to add Kog to my list!
Can we have everything louder than everything else?

Spot on for you southerners maybe? It sounds more german than dutch on that Google thingie. Above the rivers we pronounce the ch like in german word "auch", which is the proper dutch pronunciation anyway

I actually do not understand the Dutch from 'boven de moerdijk' they sound like they have food in their mouth when speaking
We refer to our variation of dutch more and more as flemish.
We pronounce Koch exactly like it's written, while you probably pronounce it kauwch?
Off course to you it will be also exactly like it's written :D

That is actually the case for all pronunciations ;)

I somehow managed to get a master degree in this stuff - I can bore you for hours about it
Anyway, just the ch of auch, not the au part. You know, that weird g-sound that got Roddenberry to invent Klingon!

They made the kb2500 bassamp themselves a.f.a.i.k.. They also made and designed several tube bass amps for Eden.

And i stick to my conclusion that it is a german name from origin. So KOG is correct pronounciation (as us dutch prefer to pronounce words in the original way).

That's what I would have guessed based on the Koch Industries pronunciation.

I forgot about the Eden connection, and I suspect Sadowsky, too, as their SA200 looks suspiciously like the Eden.
