Janglebox JB 2 Byrds questions

I got my JB 2 Byrds recently, and its time to put everything in a pedal board. The JB 2 directions state that you should go through the Janglebox first for best results. I mostly play acoustic, but will get to using my Ric 12 string soon. A foremost consideration is TO KEEP THE 12 STRING TUNING SPOT-ON.

I mostly play acoustic, and began with a Korg Pitchback Plus tuner that has A/B inputs for 2 guitars, then into a TC Electronics polytune. These two tuners are so that I can set alternate tunings on (2)- 12 string Guilds, then quick-check in the TC, then get it spot-on using the Korg. It also allows 2 differently tuned guitars to be wired up and ready to play (A/B).

Along came my Ric 360/12 a few months ago, and then the Janglebox JB 2 Byrds pedal. Later on I will add a volume pedal, and then perhaps a phaser, and additional other effects afterwords.

So here are my questions:
1. In sequence I began using a) Korg b) TC, then c) JB 2. This gives the A/B ports for two guitars going in first, and down the line to the amp.
2. Correct sequence should be a) JB 2 b) Korg, then c) TC, but won't this delete my A/B option, so now I can really only use 1 channel coming out the JB 2 and then into 1 side of the Korg?

I hope this doen't sound too dumb, I have very little experience with pedal boards, and would like to get my pedals to work optimum. Are there any experienced pedal board folks available to shed light on my dilemna?

Also any recommendations for additional pedals for the combo of Guild acoustic, and Ric 12 string; and later, Ric 6 string guitars? I doubt I'll be adding a Fishman Aura for the acoutic guitars any time soon (too expensive).

I am currently working on the song "Change Is Now" by the Byrds (Notorious Byrd Bothers album). I believe there is some phase being used on the lead part. Am I right about that?

Thanks much,
Craig

i think most people put their Tuners first in their stompbox sequence. You won't likely go wrong with that approach.

I think the reference to putting the JB first is the thought that a Compressor's logical place is in front of Distortion pedals and Tremelo and Delay pedals and the like. But not inferring that it is in front of a tuning device.

There are many articles, opinions and postings on lot's of sites and forums, that musicians have written about sequential order of pedals. Here's one million links on Google to get you started on your inquiry ....

The Boss Users Group has a good article called "Order in the Court" with some explanations of what shapes the signal chain.

So now its a little clearer than the JB 2 instructions put it, you always want your guitar tuning pedal first, next the janglebox, and then afterwords all of your sound effect modification pedals. Its that easy.
