Really sorry that he's now gone, too. Excellent musician, and perhaps one of the few who could touch James Jamerson in terms of talent, groove, and that rare combination of quality and quantity.

+1, RIP to one of my favorite bassists.

Great player. A huge influence on me.

I must confess to not knowing much of his work, aside from "Green Onions".

A few choice YT clips would be appreciated.
