Most came with a special electronics circuit (battery powered), but some were made with 'standard'' electronics. Someone who has one of those will need to chime in here.

I know they came with the compressor circuit. Just wondered it they were wired with the0047 capacitor. Gary

O.K. Are you aware that there are three passive tone circuit settings on the rotary switch?
I checked my archive of musical-instrument-related files and found an E1 schematic. There appear to be 12 capacitors present, none of which is 0.0047 (or 0.047) µf. So, I guess the answer to your question is then, "no".
