I don't have a Rickenbacker but I'm just starting to save and what
amps are most of you playing your Ricks thru :?: I have a reissue
Fender 59 Bassman LTD and is that a good Amp with a Rickenbacker
360, or a 330, or a 350V63. The Amp is from 2008 with 4X10 and I
have a Fender American Standard Telecaster from 2009 both were
bought used. I do miss not having a Rickenbacker 350V63 that's my
all time favorite guitar. I did play a friends 330 thru a reissue Fender
Twin Reverb and what a sound :!: I do have a person who want's to
buy my Bassman then if I sold the Telecaster then I could get a Rickenbacker 8)

I haven't tried the 59 Bassman reissue, but I know from experience that more speakers (such as 4x10s) are better sounding to my ears, and I thought those were well-respected. I play a Mesa Rocket 44 1x12 and a Mesa Rectoverb, and those sound good with Rickenbackers, but if I were starting over ampwise I would consider a Matchless C-30 or a Fender Supersonic.

Lou,

I would search for other threads on this topic. I know of at least three of them posted in the last year.

Lou, you'll find as many opinions on the subject of Ricks and amps as there are members on the RRF. I'm sure that your future Rick will sound just as sweet played through anything you have. It's a Rickenbacker, after all. 8)

+1! :)

I have commented a number of times in such threads. Personally, I like the sound of early silverface Fender tube amps with a Middle tone control circuit (the Twin Reverb is one), but my workhorse amp is the current-era Kustom '36 Coupe, an all-tube design (6L6 power tubes like Fender) with a spring reverb to die for.

Lou, I bet your new rick is going to sound good with that Bassman. Rickenbacker, Fender, and Vox can usually be made to play nicely together. I have an old Mesa Boogie DC-5 that kills with my ricks, too.

Last night I sold my reissue Fender 59 Bassman LTD
and I got what I paid for it. So now I'm going to take
my time looking for a new amp. Does anyone who
post here know anything about these different amps.
Tone King (Imperial or Galaxy), Swart (AST MK11 head & Cab
and the Super Space Tone 30 Head & cab). Also there is
DR Z Jaz 20/40 those are just a few that I would like to
look at. Does anyone who post here play there Rickenbacker
thru any of the above amps :?: When playing a Rickenbacker
do most play fender, Vox, Marshall compared to those other
amps.

I had used Fender and Mesa Boogie amps. I favored my two Boogies. Try a Mesa Trans Atlantic. it is suppose to be the best of both worlds.

Then the TA amps are the best of three worlds! Don't forget the Brits!

This is my Amp I've been thru reissues like Fender 59 Bassman LTD and 65 Twin reverb
and a Vox AC30TBX and a Vox Heritage Collection AC30 Head. Then I came across the
Top Hat (King Royale) based off the Vox AC30. It's the best Amp that I have ever played
thru and it's a Head and a 2X12 Cab 8)

I realize that this is an old thread, but I've had a Tone King Imperial for about a year now and it's absolutely a great amp. It's tremolo is the best that I've heard. That said, a Traynor YCV20WR is the one that gets the most use here at house.

My Ric 620 with one toaster upgrade in the bridge. I usually play bridge only or blend with the Hi-gain. Love the way it sounds! Amp is a Marshall Valvestate 100 (not that great but it's OK, tube preamp only) and an old Marshall 1965A cab. It has 4 Celestions greenbacks in it. I play mainly garage and punk. Sounds great for some jangly garage punk in the clean channel, and sounds great for the Ramones-y pop punk on the dirty channel.
