0047 capacitor

Need some help. Does anyone know how to wire a 0047 capacitor up with the push pull volume knob? Its the one from pick of the ricks. Thanks Gary

Thanks so much for the diagram. The treble knob has 3 lugs on the bottom and 2 on the top the one showing in the diagram has only 3 what about the 2 on the top. Just want to make sure before i tear into it. Thanks Gary

The two on the top take the place of the 6 lugs shown in the rectangle on John' drawing. The six lug switch it the older Alpha version originally used.

Yes. One red to one of the lugs, the other red to the other lug.

Howdy, I got the same push-pull from Pick of the Ricks, and I wired it differently from the figure posted earlier. It replaced my old bridge volume pot. I put together a figure and attach below:
Simon's push-pull wiring for the 0.0047uF cap
Simon's push-pull wiring for the 0.0047uF cap
Hope it helps and doesn't cause any additional confusion!

BTW - with this wiring, the cap is engaged (in the circuit) when the switch is pulled 'up'. With the switch in its 'down' position the cap is bypassed.
