I just discovered this footage, nice footage of Genesis and what would have to be a pre 72. :)
And I'm not a guitar guy so I can't ID the guitar but I know it's a Rick also.

The black guitar is a Gibson Les Paul..Hackett's usual axe.

Oh...That would be a model 360/12. He later had Dick Knight combine both RIC's into one instrument to make the doubleneck RIC you've seen him play elsewhere.

Dirk, I won't tell you that I saw Genesis a whole bunch of times in the early to mid '70s and that I saw those Ricks up close from the front edge of the stage. No, I won't tell you that!

Thank You Jeff!!!!!! SO glad you didn't bring THAT up

"DON'T mention the war......I did it once, but, I think I got away with it."

To the OP----the bass looks like a Ric. RM 1999. And as Aceonbass said, the guitar is a Les Paul.

Very cool Jeff!

I was going to guess a 360/12, thanks for that info, also interesting news on the making of that double neck, I wondered why it looked a little odd.

I had seen them several times myself but never with Pete at the helm. :)

Cheers,
Dirk
