They started appearing as early as September or October 1964

There's really no firm transition date, but my Oct '64 1993 had a trapeze originally.

The R tailpiece started appearing with the "new style" rounded-top 360 models, IIRC.

Did the "R" bracket replace the trapeze like the one on the Suzi Arden 360?

The Suzi Arden guitar was modified years after it was built, after the R tailpiece was introduced. It no longer has an R tailpiece mounted, I've heard.

Didn't a forumite buy it to convert it into a Harrison clone?   Thereby, ruining it's place in history.

I don't know if that was ever confirmed Jeff. I believe it was just speculation.

Let's all hope that doesn't come to pass, it would be a travesty if such a things were to be done to the Arden guitar.
