I would like to see a 3000-ish shortscale with a 420/450 body. Like a shorter 4001 with a shorter 4001-ish upper horn:)

FWIW-
I'm in the process of puting a bass neck on a 381 body.
(Well I've turned the project over to some one...)
It's going to be short scale; the Maximas I have
are medium scale so I thought I'd better make the bass
to fit the strings....

Great! I like the first posts better than the later ones. First drawing is much more simple.

That's been one of my fantasy Ricks as I've mentioned for years, the 4381JV. If it ever were to happen, I'd want it to be long scale.chefothefuture wrote:FWIW-

unbalanced , it wasn't aesthetically pleasing.
We'll have to see what the "4006" looks like whenever
the new neck happens....
