Guys, I played two festivals and live on national radio this weekend. All in 16 hours time, so no sleep:) I decided to use the '73 Ric for all gigs. I'll post some pics later, but here's a link to four vids:

For the sound nerds. It was just the bass and a Radial DI.

Great sound, for the whole band! I still have to listen to the rest as I got to go to the lab, now, but the first song is nice and punchy, very tight, much more studio-like than live. 8)

Sounds great. I've seen some wonderful clips out of that room! Hallowed ground indeed. Great performance.

Thanks guys!

It was just the standard green passive DI.

I like it! If your singer had sideburns and long hair, he'd look like Tom Petty. Reminded me a bit of the Heartbreakers too.

:) I always have to think of Tom Petty when I hear our singer. Also when I saw him with his former band in the past. But we don't hear that often from other people.

Awesome!! I only listened to the first song since I'm on vacation in the mountains and have a lousy slow WiFi hook up. I liked the song a lot! I'll listen to the rest when I get back! Congratulations!!!

Okay, I got to listen to all of the songs. The engineer at the station did a great job of mixing the band, and I see you guys had the ability to mix your own headphone feeds, always a good thing to feel natural in those kind of situations. Once again, it sounded more studio-like than radio station live playing. I did a few of those when I was in Rare Blend and we never sounded that good, IMHO. 8)

Thanks again! Yeah, we had like eight tracks to mix for our own headphone mix, so I could dial in more or less bass, vocals, everything. I could even do some EQing. the guy at the station did us before and he does an awful lot of bands, so he knows what to do.

After doing a lot of local stations and this 3FM (national pop/ rock station) several times with my former band too, I know how to play there. Only the cameras were a bit new:)
