Baked Maple Fretboard

Hi all
I have a Gibson Studio 60s Goldtop thing and it has a baked maple fretboard. I was just wondering if it is ok to use Stringfellow's lem oil on it, in yr opinions. There seems to be ambiguity regarding this on other forums so I thought I would ask here. I use the oil on my Rics and am very happy with the results but they have all that gloss which the Gibson does not.
Incidentally, the guitar is fantastic and sounds superb through my ac30, P90s and all that. The finish will probably not last very long intact
