How Many Drummers Are There Onboard?

I am wondering how many drummers here may also have been smitten by an enthusiasm for Rickenbackers. Did your interest precede or follow that of Rickenbacker instruments?

I play drums in addition to guitar and bass. I have a Gretsch Catalina Club set in white marine pearl. It provides plenty of stress relief after being around teenagers all day.

Thanks for the posts thus far. Hard to snare drummers who also play guitar or bass it seems.

I've tried to play drums on occasion. Can't say I'm very good at it though. I'm looking to buy a decent drum kit though, just to try to learn...

I have played drums since I was a teenager. But bought my first nice guitar less than 2 years ago. I know one thing for certain that I can practice guitar at 1 AM in the morning, but not drums. Here's me jamming on someone else's drums after years of not playing much: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ibF70XY6 ... ture=share

Dane Paul Terry also plays drums and he is a fantastic bass player too.

Wordsmith!

Never ask me to drum on songs or every song would have the same drumming... much like Nickelback :P

Craig, you certainly held your own on stage.

Thanks a million. When I was about 25 I thought I was too old to keep playing rock n' roll drums. So, since a few decades ago it appears that the music lives on, but I don't regret taking my work world a bit more seriuosly, thus limiting my playing time. It helped to work hard in order to be able to at somw time play hard (as the saying goes).

So then my current scheme of things is Roger McGuinn style of guitar, and Mitch Mitchell (Hendrix) style drums.
