.
ok, so I go onto the Rickenbacker website, into the Boutique, add a few items to my Cart, go to checkout and find that, because I'm in Australia, it won't complete the sale.

.... I email Rickenbacker and their reply says that they can only sell stuff to North American customers and that I need to contact Rickenbacker Asia to purchase items.

So I email Rickenbacker Asia (almost a week ago) and no response!

I'm FRUSTRATED!!!!!

Rickenbacker (all of you!) this is poor customer service, you need to realise that there are Rickenbacker enthusiasts outside North America and Asia. What about us? I've been a Rickenbacker bass player now for more than 25 years .... lift your game!!!

I'll try emailing Rickenbacker Asia again now, but somehow I doubt I'll have any more luck than I have had so far.

Greg

Got a friend in the US who can purchase and receive on your behalf and then forward to you?

Rickenbacker Asia appears to only deal in guitars and basses, they do not have the parts and accessories catalogue that the Boutique does on their website. If you are looking for a new instrument there are plenty of International eBay sellers, although you may or may not forfeit the manufacturers warranty for new instruments. There are lots of Rickenbacker parts on eBay too, however, and most sellers will do International shipping if you request it.

+1. I think this sort of thing is very common in the RRF.

I don't know if it's toll free, but if it is my other suggestion is to call Rickenbacker Asia (pretty sure Oz is lumped in with them and they are bound to have several English speakers on hand). I always prefer phone calls to e-mail for stuff like this.
