On the positive side I love it. On the negative side, it doesn't live at my house.

I think the Bigsby looks good on almost any guitar, especially vintage, and it works the best of all of them. Congratulations!

Hi Peter,
it's your guitar and of course you can do what you want with it, and it really is good looking. But "some people" were only saying that mounting a Bigsby is a not reversible modification on a high value instrument and would decrease value, that's all. I did such a modification on a 330 and I really liked it, but a 330 is not a high value instrument as a 325C58, but as said - it's your guitar, so enjoy !

Hi Alex,
Yes you are right. It is a non reversible modification. But the Kaufmann Vibrola is absolute NOT working and i want to play this guitar ! The Traeze would be areversible mod, but i dont like the look of it and want to have a vibrato. I also did not want to have anothe accent vibrato , because i think it suits best on the Miami Model. So, being John Lennon fan and knowing the good function of a bigsby and having it installed for a lot of time; the answer is Bigsby.
Speaking of the value of the guitar, for me it has no value at all when i can not play on it. It is not made for closet, but for (careful and moderate) use.

100% agree.
There are tons of so called "high value Rickenbackers" out there. And if the mod is done skilled there is absolutely no reason not to do it. (The Kauffman is a reason for not to buy the whole thing, instead!)
It is like having a tattoo (I do not): Think about before doing. The rest is personal taste.
BTW: The screw holes of a Bigsby can be filled again. Wanna see that with tattoos...

Well, everything is fine with your Bigsby mod, I totally agree with both of my german fellow countrymen, just do it to your taste ! My post just wanted to point out, that this word of "Some people think this is a violation of this guitar" sounded a little indignant , nobody wanted to hinder you from doing what you want with your own guitar. We are all happy with your new purchase

looks gorgeous ! I'm a fan of the Bigsby, here is a 330, I already regret that I sold it last year :

hi german chapter !!
Thank you all ! Though it would be a question of personal taste too, a Floyd-Rose would not be that good !

)
@Alex : Yes great guitar, looks good with Bigsby !!

@Alex: It was nothing against what You said. My intention was to confirm what You said!
(Maybe You had these silk pyjamas wearing bedroom players in mind. At least I had... - Thinking and talking about Lennon a 325 is always a player's guitar to me. So a thickbody 325 needs these four extra holes next to the bolt.

)
Why did You sell the 340?????????!!!!!!! It was so nice!!!!

Now I remember some L12-story...
Allright, a 340 is easier to find, isn't it?
