The 450 returns

In record time too I might add. This was the hulk that I bought a few months back. It had been stripped of all hardware except the original Klusons and the truss rods, had the bridge mounting holes drilled all the way though the body, and was covered in layers and layers of thick black brush paint. It also had several layers of aluminum foil glued into it. Once I stripped it and gave it a light sanding though, it revealed itself to be a very solid and straight guitar, ripe for resurrection. So from there, it was off to Paul W for his usual flawless treatment, and back to me. It plays and sounds beautiful, and I'd venture to say, better than the day it left the factory in 1967. After all these years, my first actual RIC 6 six string :D

I spent over a year looking for a 450. Many I found we're just "too far gone" to save...I'm glad to know I was dead wrong. Nothing is too far gone if you've got some vision and a bit of $$. What a stunning resto, well done!! :D

Congrats Gareth! (and beautiful work, Paul)

I had my own back-from-the-ashes 450/6 arrive home just a couple months ago...glad to see that this is becoming a trend :D. The 450 is simply a fantastic (and somewhat under-appreciated) model.

I love it. Simple and business like. No nonsense. It just screams: plug me in, crank me up, lets Rock & Roll.
