Toaster wiring question

Can you just drop in toaster's in exchange for high gains without any other changes to the wiring and, at least to some extent, expect that classic toaster tone?

Now all you need is a 0047 cap and a pushpull pot. I put them on my 370/12 and 360/12 it's not hard to do.
