I know we have some Zoom and Digitech multi-effect users here, and probably some Boss and DeltaLab users too. If you could share your experience with multi-effects, positive and negative, that would really help me out. I am in the market for a multi-effect in the near future, owing to a need for a wide-ranging sound palette as opposed to a handful of dedicated analog pedals. Right now the Zoom B3 and the Digitech BP355 are the biggest contenders. The B3 seems to have marginally better sound (I have very little evidence for this other than what people say on the Innernetz and a handful of clips recorded by the same player), but I don't get interface completely and it also doesn't include an expression pedal which will be required for certain things I'll be doing. As for Boss, I don't have much love for them in general regarding QC, and I know little of DeltaLab, so no pre-existing bias there.

Any help I can get will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I have the inexpensive Zoom B1. Nothing fancy, but very easy to edit and create your own patches all for about fifty bucks new. A great deal if your wanting to get into multi effects on a budget.

However the Zoom B3 sounds very interesting, it has its own topic over at talkbass.com.

A lot of users swear by them.
