Got a new set of 9-46's on her now...neck retweaked..... she sounds brilliant. The 10's or 11's that were on there sounded good but just too stiff for me.

I always use .011s on my Ric 6-string guitars. Different strokes for different folks. I used to use .009 strings on guitars, but I'm a heavy handed player, so I had a bad tendency to bust them regularly, so a heavier gauge was recommended. With correct intonation and neck adjustments, I rarely bust string nowadays. However, .012 gauge is too stiff for me.

Now that amp in the background...for a second, I thought that was a Super Reverb. Can it work for guitar?

I used to play on 11's a lot when I had some jazz boxes and even 12's but as I have aged or at least my hands and fingers...I cannot handle stiff guitar strings.... That said...I am a bass player mainly and play upright bass too. But I have found bass strings that allow me a supple response and maintain tone without a stiff feel. With guitar you do loose some tone but I like the play-ability and brightness of the 9's on a Ric guitar. The amp is a early 70's 50 watt tube Bassman Ten and it works splendidly for guitar.

Nice Ric. And the 50 watt Fender Bassmans are great amps for guitar. I had a '68 head that was de-CBS'ed and ran it through a 2x12 cab. I sometimes wish I had her back.
