On eBay right now: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1982-Rickenback ... 1e72b223b9

I don't recall ever seeing a 12-string from this era with star Grovers...makes for a pretty crowded headstock, but a cool look nonetheless. I thought these were only on the 6-stringers, and hence the canoe-paddle headstocks at the time to accommodate the plus-sized hardware.

That's a lovely guitar - the Mapleglo is nicely ambered!

They made a change from the Klusons at some point around this time, and if these tuners aren't outright replacements I'd say they are original...of course the case should be a black tolex HSC and not the moulded case......all in all a pretty nice 12-string.

IIRC I've seen an '83 370/12 MG with star Grovers.

From the era, my '81 JetGlo 370-WB (six stringer) came with the Star Grover tuners
