Saw the boys last night. I have seen them more times than I can remember starting in 1975. I bet last nights show was somewhere between 12 and 18th concert. It was un freaking real. They literally held the arena spellbound for three hours. Sound was great and they were just killing it. If this show comes your way, or near enough, do NOT miss it. Even if you arent that big of a fan.. this is a band that totally delivers an evenings entertainment.
Here is the man himself.. sadly the jetglo never made an appearance

I read this article about them. They had good things to say about their latest album.

In a positive way? Really?
I would have figured Rush for Ron Paul fans. . . .
Not to get too far afield, but the show MUST have been better than the debates last night. Whatever one's perspective, it was a snoozefest.

I always hated that Limbog used the Pretender's "my city was gone" as his intro music, too. Evidently,Chrissie Hynde doesn't give a rat's about it being used this way, which i always found kind of odd. You would think any politician or public figure would have to obtain permission for the use of an artist's work, but it is surprising (or not) how few of them do that.
Ps i still have not heard the new Rush album, but the accolades being heaped on it have piqued my interest.

Actually, she did not like it and sued. They stopped using it for a few days until they found out that she doesn't own the rights to the song and the actual owners (the record company, I think) were more than happy to collect the royalties for its use...

I haven't always enjoyed some of their latest stuff the last few years, so hopefully I come across as somewhat objective when I say "Clockwork Angels" is an outstanding piece of work..as always with musical tastes though... YMMV

CJ,thanks, that is good to know. (Well, not the part about Chrissie no longer owning her own songs, that sucks!)
