Hi folks !
I just expose my problem to you :
I got a wonderful 330/6 JetGlo in last january, it's a 2006 model, so the pickups are the "fixed height poles" high gains…
I do not feel enough "Rick jangle" to my taste, and would like to raise down those G and D poles a bit down, but…
Is it possible to do with those "no screw" poles ?
Especially, my high E string is not loud enough compared to the other strings, do some of you know why that could be ?
Just sayin', because that could may be a bridge/saddle problem, who knows ?

The pole pieces are not adjustible. Lower the bass side of the pickup and raise the treble side of the pickup.

May want to see if the pots are to spec. Often times they are not, and this will load down the high end of the signal quite a bit (they always lean to the low side of the stated value IME). One quick way to see if this is killing your jangle would be to bypass the 5th knob, which should decrease the impedance load quite a bit. Another thing to try would be going with some "gentler" tone capacitors like 0.022 µF, as they are also loading your highs down a bit all the time. (Or increase the resistance of the tone pots themselves, but this will reduce your useable sweep.)

However it is possible to take this approach too far. I once made a minimal load circuit to get the brightest possible signal and I could not stand the harsh sound that resulted. So don't get carried away...

I already did that, it's been quite effective, but so much as expected…

In fact, it's almost my high E string who's not so bright, because the poles radius don't seems as flat as the strings radius, see ?

And all the pots and inside electronics are stock from factory…

Factory pots are as susceptible as any to being below spec. I doubt RIC has the time to check that they are all the right ohmage before wiring them up. It would be way too tedious. Pot manufacturers advertise a certain tolerance (like 20%) and oftentimes I still find pots >25-30% out of tolerance, etc., so pot values end up all over the place. I've had the worst luck with CTS and the best with Bourns, but if I were buying wholesale I could probably afford tighter tolerances and they may not be so bad.
