Discoloured truss rod cover

Post by Saltaireguru77 »

Hi

Weird event today. My Rickenbacker 330-12 has been in it's case in the basement for a couple of weeks while we had some work done and when I took it back out today, the white truss rod cover is now discoloured to cream. This would be fine(ish) if the scratch plate on the same guitar, same conditions, wasn't still white...!

I'm guessing there was a little damp that caused te problem.
Anyone got any ideas how to restore it to it's normal white?

You may want to get in touch with Rickenbacker Customer service. They're only a phone call or email away and generally very pleasant and helpful.

You don't say how old the guitar is. What is it's manufacturing date?
