Congrats! Those are sweet little guitars, and great-looking too.... Not to mention great-sounding. Mine really cuts through the mix well.

I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

Thanks for the posts guys! I bought this guitar online from a Guitar Center store so I won't get it till next Wednesday. Can't wait. This is the guitar I wanted since I bought a my copy of "Something New Something New" at EJ Korvettes in '64 ($2.98 for Mono). It wasn't until I saw this album cover that I knew that John had a second "3/4" Rickenbacker with a gold pickguard. It was sort of a revelation when I saw it.We didn't have a color TV and I think Ed Sullivan was still in Black and White anyway.

Great looking guitar!

I remember the local EJ Korvettes store. I saved up money from my newspaper route and bought my first electric guitar there. It was a sunburst Teisco Del Rey hollow body with 2 pickups and vibrato. I also bought all of my vinyl 45s and LPs there including that same album. Great music department!

Yes!I bought my first records there also:a copy of "I Want to Hold Your Hand" and "She Loves You". Both 45's had picture sleeves.

Got my first electric guitar there too. It was a Teisco like this.
