On my list of top 5 favorite films. Cool color. Kind of a cross between p*$$ yellow and puke green (Harrison Ford's comment in the movie about John Milner's car).

I thought "More American Graffitti" was awesome as well. You don't really hear about that one too much, but a fine sequel/prequel/all over the decade film.

Got the drive-in double feature DVD, which has both films. I enjoy them both, but the first one connects with my early teen years a lot more. I knew all of those characters. Personally, I was 30% Kurt, 0% Steve, and the rest: Toad (even dated 3 'Debbie's).

I still think that the guitar (and Milner's car) both look really nice.

Thanks! A. R. Duchossoir wrote in his book "The Fender Stratocaster" :

" JEFF BECK had asked Fender to make him a `62 Vintage model painted in the same yellow color as the souped-up Ford truck featured in the movie American Graffiti. The company obliged but seized the opportunity to talk Jeff into having a namesake Stratocaster model. The STRAT PLUS prototype was therefore put together with Jeff beck in mind, hence its yellow finish christened Graffiti Yellow."
