Rickenbacker TR25 Nice Little Amp 1978 First Year

Bought this on impulse at a black Friday Music Store sale for $50.00 SCORE!!!!.
Took it home cleaned it up. I got to say it is a very nice sounding amp. I will do a YouTube later and post it. After research this is a 1978 according to the serial number. The speaker is a CTS 12" dated 50th week of 1976. It has an aluminum dust cover with felt in the center hole. The amp has a very nice clean tone with the tone controls responding to tweaking and very usable. This amp has a "master volume knob" the later ones say "distortion'. The master volume knob is an on and off knob and is a distortion not a true master volume. The mater/distortion sound pretty good at 2-3 for a light over driven sound crank up and it sound like the ****** solid state fender distortion we all know. The reverb is ok and will do the trick but not surf territory like Fender and the tremolo is pretty darn nice all the way around. Anyway the guts look like this thing was made with very good quality heavier parts and and since it has lated 35 years I think it may be good to go some more.
