Thanks! This blurb was in a 1989 edition of Fender Frontline

"The RR-9 was designed to turbocharge the heavy metal and speed metal player.

And anyone else who dreams of a straight-ahead rock guitar that burns rubber the moment you hit the stings.

It's armed with a high-output 3-in-1 pickup that covers all the vital bases: the nasal, funky sound of two single-coil pickups; the full-bodied tone of a humbucker; a distortion sound that's smokin'.

And you can get great distortion at any volume, without fussing over your amp. Because output, gain, and tone are controlled right from the guitar.

The RR-9 is equipped with the Fender American Standard tremolo system. And speed-lock, self-locking key for keeping this machine finely tuned. Even the nut is made of specially hardened composite material so your strings glide smoothly during your wildest tremolo bends.

Essentially the same guitar, the RR-8 is for players who prefer a shorter neck scale and no tremolo.

Both models feature alder bodies and bolt-on maple necks. And a special battery circuit lets you know when battery life is down to one hour.

Of coarse, that should be plenty of time to completely blow your audience away."
