I've been looking for a decent guitar theory book. Has anyone had any experience with this one:

http://www.amazon.com/Music-Theory-Guit ... nstruction

If not, could someone recommend a decent book that covers theory, chords, scales, modes, etc.? I've been doing a lot of research but I'm totally overwhelmed with all that's out there.

Thanks!

Any information that could be found in that book is more readily avilable online, and often in a more easily digestible format like YouTube. You can find lots of material and theory and lessons on chords, scales, etc. there.

The Carol Kaye series of books has been popular since the late Sixties. She bases her teaching on the knowledge of chords, primarily. She also gives Skype lessons. Her books and packages are very reasonably priced, too. :)
