I remember that day exactly although I was a child at that time...

My Idol.

What might have been....Given the years to heal riffs and the musical technology that exists today.. a reunion... and them playing everything from Sgt peppers onward live .. not too mention new stuff.. what a waste...

But, please never forget: The Beatles were past already.

More important for me: a great (and contradictorily!) poet was killed by a symptom of a society he wanted to make better. Still today it is all in (t)his story, unfortunately.

(It is hard to talk about the late Lennon without talking about society, politics and religion. - How he put in a song: "Think!")

Beware the "lone crazed gunman" . . .

Especially if you are capable of gaining the world's attention, and your message is PEACE!

I'm just sayin'. :?

Sadly, if he was here today, John Lennon would probably conclude that we have learned nothing in the intervening years - given the level of conflict, poverty and unhappiness in the world.

I've gotta agree with this also.

Unfortunately, I think the world divisiveness is worse than in John's time.....

Unfortunately, yes.
