Saw this years ago, and I'm pretty sure the back story was that it wasn't his actually, just some kind of promo thing. Pretty sure it also said it wasn't a US V63 per se but one of the Japan-only PMC basses.

No PMC bass here, the peghead is a mirror-image...just a lefty V63.
