I've kept this under my hat for a while. Anyone looking for an affordable Eight String Bass that loves to be drop tuned? I have 12 of them in Black, White and British Racing Green.
They will be well setup and feature CTS Pots, Paper and Oil Capacitors plus a versitile built in Overdrive..
I'd thought I'd run these videos up the pole and see if anyone saluted...

Verrry interesting! A while ago,I saw a waterstone prototype on ebay, that had a few similarities.I really like the tuning key set up on these, and the electronics seems like it does a LOT with a little ...that is quite a cool 8 stringer!
(I especially love BRG)

It is indeed related to the Waterstone Voltaire V8 Bass as it was made in the same factory
The electronic specs are quite different though.. (And many other details)

You can hear the 4008 influence in the clean sound..

Eden, I don't understand. Did you build these? If so that's really cool!

I did not build them as such. I had them made to my specs and then once they arrived, I'm progressively rebuilding them to be pretty decent instruments... I put about eight hours (one per string) and a handful of cts pots, a switchcraft jack, Russian pio caps, some sneaky diodes, and an Artec pickup plus they will be fitted with SIT strings...
I dress the frets and cut a new bone nut as well...

Polymack is in fact the name of my family's band..
Polymack = Many MacKenzies... It has also become the name of my guitar tech business as well...
