Yes, it is correct that it had been recovered by the police later and after insurance paid. Don't know the history after that but assuming all kosher.
BTW, do not trust some of the pawn shops if you contact them about a stolen instrument. I had sent pics all around the midwest to pawn shops and dealers. I was in contact with one of the local ones, sent them pictures, they acknowledged they received the pics and would keep an eye out for it. Guess where the police found it, boxed in the back room and ready to be shipped out somewhere? I was furious.
