Seriously though, what a tool. Pay attention at 1:27 when he swings the headstock into the wall

Your video link has either disappeared or it did not make it through to the other side of your post...............at least I think that's what happened.

I think the inhaling safety equipment may have come along too late in this "tech's" repair career!!

Part 2 is even more revealing:

I shall now go to a house of worship and thank a supreme being of some sort for Paul W. Truly a blessing to have him around as opposed to what could have been the alternative.

I don't think I'd trust him to paint my fence! Both those repairs will become real apparent in no time...

This guy is great.

A lot of what he says is spot on. He's not a fan of 'Stick-in-your-backers'... So, what!!!
As he says, 'There is a level of craftmanship. They would be good to use in the studio. Just not 'on the road'.

I totally agree with these sentiments. He IS talking from experience!!

Rickenbackers are not that tough, especially the finish.... Look at 'em wrong, and they flake or chip!!!

My only bass is a RIC, (which I gig with regularly), but I tend to look at these sort of videos with a sense of humour. It's funny!!!

Davey (the guy in the vid) has loads of videos on YouTube about set ups and the like. Watch his video rant about steel wool. I'm sure you'll agree he knows what he's talking about.

He makes setting up basses and guitars fun, and that's the point.. surely!!!

RIC owners need to grow a thicker skin....

That thick skin could chip or flake!
Davey mixes up musical instruments and tools too much.
He states that quality instruments are easily reparable, as that was one of Leo Fender's sales pitches.
You could state that quality instruments do not need to be easily repareable, as that would be a contradictio in terminis.
